Jack Kirby? The King! Without a doubt the most influential comic-book artist Marvel (or any of them) ever employed. The man had bags of talent, not to mention imagination. He's responsible for the look of dozens of now-iconic superheroes. Here's my recreation for his cover artwork for Fantastic Four #1. It's been aped many a time over the years but the original is a true classic:
